Me Gosselin was called to the Quebec Bar in 1984 after receiving his degree in Civil Law (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa in 1983. Prior to that, Me Gosselin obtain a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Politics form the same university in 1980.
Throughout his career, Me Gosselin has developed his legal expertise in various areas of business law. For the first 18 years of his career Me Gosselin practice law in private practice with some of the very prestigious law firms in Quebec City focusing mainly in banking law, bankruptcy and insolvency, financing and reorganisation of business entities as well as in commercial litigation in general. He also sat on the board of directors of numerous private manufacturing and high tech companies.
Since 2001, Me Gosselin has been active as an entrepreneur heading various manufacturing companies and acting as legal counsel to others wishing to export their products abroad. He has been involved in numerous stages in the life of a business enterprise whether it be as a strategic advisor, market analysis, business development on the international scene, negotiation of various commercial agreements as well as in the financing of these entities and start-ups. The years spent advising his clients and as an entrepreneur have caused him to travel extensively abroad to numerous countries where he acted on behalf of these very same clients.
And, since April 2016, Me Gosselin has become the Canadian partner for MEXLAW (www.mexlaw.ca), a law firm positioned in Mexico and dedicated to assisting foreign private citizens and companies whom either desire to purchase a vacation home or establish a new business and/or subsidiary in Mexico.
